I love all of the Junie B Jones books! They are chapter books and are good for developing readers, or for class read alouds.
In this book, Junie B begins first grade. She has to make new friends, and isn't so sure that she likes first grade. Then she finds out that she has to get glasses and is very upset. She brings them in for show and tell and one of her new friends tells her how cool they are! Junie B decides that she may like first grade after all!
