Really well done short stories! Despite the book being on my ‘currently reading’ for 2 months (bar exam ruining my reading flow), it only took me about 2 hours to read. My 3 favorite stories: an archeological student on a foreign island without a wallet, starving, taken in and ravaged by 2 women with “folds of gray, heavily veined fat hanging from their thighs and upper arms” seemingly for the rest of his life; a girl who decides to date another in the midst of a relationship so she could decide on her own whether she wanted to choose the life that she would have with the man in the original relationship; and finally, a short description of envying people living in an impoverished neighborhood because they are unattached and aware only of themselves.

Also notable: Jerzy Kosinski is yet another great author who met demise through suicide, ugh.
