it was amazing
bookshelves: 2010, best-read-2010, colonial-america, england, historical, gritty-realism, laugh-out-loud, love-the-setting, non-fiction

I knew I'd love this book, and I did. Let's see what does it contain that I love: Victorian England, prehistoric England, colonial America, Thomas Jefferson, Sherlock Holmes, Charles Darwin, vicars, British India, prosaic English countryside, the Gilded Age, America vs. England, powdered wigs. All presented in a hilarious Bill Bryson way that made me laugh out loud many times.
