Steve Niles, 30 Days of Night: Bloodsucker Tales (IDW, 2005)

After reading the other Amazon reviews for this, I've decided that I won't give up on 30 Days of Night just yet; maybe I just started out bad.

Bloodsucker Tales (I have since found out this is Volume 1 of the spinoff series) didn't really work for me. It's disjointed, rootless, and confusing. Of course, I say this having picked the book up not realizing it was a spinoff from the series, and so there's probably a lot of foundation I've missed out on along the way. So I should probably give it the gentleman's C and come back and try it again after I've read the original series, yes? ** ½
