** spoiler alert ** Sent was a book that hit the ground running. Right away, they’ve already traveled in time over 500 years, which is no small thing to begin a book with. I think Haddix was bold to have such a story where the opening fact was that there was a 12 year old king in the 15th century. This, to me, was an amazing story of how friends will stick with each other and fight for each other’s lives, despite the fact that doing so could ruin time, history, and even the concept of life. Jonah and Katherine constantly fight being out of place, hungry, and oddly cultured so that they can fix a time ripple some “saviors” started and still take their friends home, despite going against the original path of time. This has to be one of the better reads I have had. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone needing some relaxed enjoyment.
