I briefly met Tess Gerritsen at the Love is Murder writers conference a few years ago, and sat a couple seats away from her at the luncheon. She was very pleasant and had an active interest in other people around her. At the time I hadn't yet read any of her books, and, frankly, didn't feel like they would have been my cup of tea.

So a couple months ago, I stumbled across her new book ICE COLD. On a flier, I got it and started reading it, and I loved it. It didn't matter at all that it's ... what.. the nth book in the series. She weaved back story effortlessly into the book, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

What's that got to do with BODY DOUBLE you ask?

(go ahead ... ask).

This was the next book I could get my hands on. Fourth book? No problem. A couple books previous to her newest one? No problem.

Another excellent read.

If you've read any of my reviews, I don't reveal too much about the plot itself, I talk about my feelings reading it.

Shaddup, I am a guy, but it's okay.

Of the two books I've read by Gerritsen, I keep thinking I have the mystery all figured out half way through, and then she out-clevers me in the end. Great characters, excellent pace.. just awesome reads.
