Amazing! Hot! Steamy! Suspenseful! All describe this book. Micah Sloane captured my heart in this exciting second offering of Lora Leigh's Elite Ops series. He is a deadly elite ops specialist, a former Israeli Mossad agent who you really wouldn't want to mess with. Except when it came to our heroine, Risa, he was the most tender and caring lover any woman could ask for. Risa had been beat down emotionally and physically by her abusive father, who watched as one of his friends raped her. Imprisoned by her father for two years inside a mental hospital, naturally she has serious issues with men. She was rescued by a navy seal team and formed lasting friendships with them. Made to feel ugly and unwanted by people who should have loved her, Risa was naturally wary when her friends set her up with Micah.
Driven by sexual urges beyond her control, Risa decides she's going to sleep with Micah Sloane. Micah has his own agenda. He is drawn to Risa and has watched her from afar for the past several years. Now he has the opportunity to find the deadly assassin who murdered Micah's mother and was responsible for his father's death as well. The identity of that assassin, known as Orion is locked away inside Risa's subconscious mind.
This is a fast moving, suspenseful romance with classic steamy love scenes burning up the pages as only Lora Leigh can do. I highly recommend this book and this series. 5 stars
