Tessa and Ethan lose their four-year-old daughter to a hit-and-run driver. Celia, Tessa's therapist, is having her own problems with her son, ex-husband Harry and new husband Alden.
There was a lot to like in this story but there were also some cliches and it was predictable; I knew the ending by the middle of the book.
It's the kind of story I could see being made into a Lifetime Channel movie.
