really liked it
bookshelves: crime-thrillers-and-mysteries, fiction

Clever work threading the US connection - Mary's family background and a Conan Doyle visit to the west coast in 1924 - hence Holmes' presence also. King's filled in some of the back story in this one and, as ever, writes entertainingly and compellingly on the local settings of 'prohibition era' America.
