Sperm Wars: Infidelity, Sexual Conflict, and Other Bedroom Battles
by Robin Baker
by Robin Baker
Lots of interesting contentions in this book. The bottom line is:
In Britain at least 4% of children (but perhaps as many as 6-12%) are conceived via sperm competition,[13] and claims that this lower figure is consistent with the earlier finding that 10% of children have a biological father who is other than their supposed father.
Therefore, there is a "sperm war" that happens that we do not see.
Interesting book. Lots of examples. Perhaps not 100% accurate, but Mr Baker has a much better idea of what's going on than people who are making theories in absence of understanding human nature.
Complaint: Could have been much shorter while conveying the same information - or could have been made more enjoyable to read.
