Mockingjay (The Hunger Games, #3)
by Suzanne Collins
by Suzanne Collins
Oh my goodness! What a fantastic way to end The Hunger Games trilogy. I loved every minute of this book. There were no slow moments and the action had me flipping pages fast as I could read them. At one point, I was like….”Come Katniss…Shape up! Stop feeling sorry for your self! Stop blaming yourself! Move on and get out there and kick some butt!”
Oh and then there’s Petta. He just broke my heart! This book was such a change of character for him. From the first book, The Hunger Games, I was “Team Petta.” I’d have to say that in Mockingjay, his attitude was getting the better of me! Gale played a much bigger role this time. He is a great fighter and you get to see how deep down he truly hates the capital. Katniss seemed to have a hard time figuring out who her heart wanted her to be with, Gale or Petta. I found myself wondering the same thing. Gale is such a likeable guy and the whole time I was reading, I was praying Petta would have a change of heart towards Katniss.
The ending was perfect and there are twist that you dont see coming. No only wish was that there would have been an update in the epilogue on some of the other characters to know how their lives ended up.
I thought this was a fan-tas-tic read and absolutely recommend you read Mockingjay or the Hunger Games series ASAP!
