This book was a fabulous read. This isn't Roberts usual suspense with a mystery and a killer. It's actually a very contemporary and what I call a "comfortable" book. It's the type of story that is good after a long, hard day and your brain is too mushy to keep up with a mystery or a lot of conflict.
What I liked best about this book (and the series itself) is that Roberts has managed to find a legitimate and pretty realistic setting in which four friends are together running a business. In this book, four friends own a business in which they organize weddings. Each woman has a different department. One does flowers, another does the cakes, another does the general details and keeping everything on track and Mac, the heroine of this book, does the pictures.
Also in this book is Carter, the hero. An English high school teacher who had a crush on Mac when they were high schoolers themselves. It's a tug of war between the two, mostly dealing with Mac and her unwillingness to fall in love due to her mother's repeated marriages.
My personal opinion about this book and its series is that Roberts has made the characters very 21st century women, but without making them seem like cheap tarts who are constantly bed-hopping.
