I am torn with this book. I would have given it a 2.5 so I rounded up. In the past I have enjoyed most of the Breed books but there have been a few that made me want to quit the series. My frustration is with the women in her books. Most of them are strong but they have endured some crisis with the Breeds and they have a hard time letting go. Throughout this book, the "heroine" could not let go of the past. It had been 10 years and she still could not let go. She has had mind blowing sex with the species she hated and she could not let go. It was not until the last 2 chapters of the book that she finally let go and let her heart take over. I was so tired of hearing the same story of her past over and over again that I started to scan the pages until she finally accepted Styx.

I think I only continue to read these books because I like to know who Ms Leigh is pairing up. Ms. Leigh contiunes to play up her story with Cassie and the Council/scientist story continues to grow.

Samantha I completely agree. I keep reading these books for the same reason. I did really like the last one about Jonas though. I haven't read this one yet. Do you know when 23 is supposed to come out?

Pansy No. I heard it is called Navarro's Promise. I have no idea what Ms. Leigh is doing with the story line. It is all so confusing. It seems she is writing just to please fans not realizing she is just frustrating us with the mundane story line. If it does not get better she is going to lose this fan.

Jolyn Totally agree!! I haven't like the past 2 heroines.. Storme or Rachel.
