I enjoyed the story. It reminds me a little of the Riley Jensen series by Keri Arthur, yet it has it’s own world to it. It set in the present timeline and doesn’t take too many liberties with what is reality and fiction in our own world. The one thing I did like about this novel was that it didn’t draw me in so much that I had to constantly read it, but I still wanted to find chances to read it. If that makes sense. I’m definitely trying to get my hands on the second novel in the series Mortal Danger, as well as the third one, Blood Lines. I’ll let you know if I’m successful.

Jackie (Literary Escapism) However many you want to give it. I don't rate books with stars, check marks or anything.

*ARK* gotcha... it just looked like you "forgot".

Jackie (Literary Escapism) Ratings are too subjective IMO. *grin* So I simply don't do it. I've done a few, but honestly I've been trying to go through and clear them out.
