Nice book. I think it would have been a bit better as a bit older ya book or even an adult book with a 20 something heroine. But, alas, our heroine is 16, though not exactly typical. She has grown up, more or less, contained at the Center she works for, leaving only on assignment and escorted field trips. Evie begins the discovery of who she is when a new paranormal breaks in to the Center for information. After capturing him, she and he begin to develop a relationship. The Center, in Evie's opinion, misjudges its control over their use of Fairies. Evie has had a relationship with a Fairy, (though I'm not sure I'd count it as a boyfriend thing as she does), and is leary of Fairies as a result. Meanwhile, something is killing paranormals, and eventually Evie is drawn in to this.

I liked the variety of paranormals in this story. Liked the Fairy aspect. The heroine was fine, tho as I said, would have been better as a bit more mature or older heroine IMO. All around good read.
