If a thing was created with love or a place becomes remembered in history it crosses over to Everlost when it is distroyed in the living world. In this dimension the twin towers still stand over New York City, Shiloh the high diving horse continues to jump into a tank of water on the Steel Pier in Atlantic City and the silver form of the Hindenberg floats in the skies above the east coast.

There are no adults in Everlost, only kids and teens populate who get lost on their way to the light become "afterlights". To an afterlight only the dead spots and objects seem real the world of the living is washed out and unsubstantial. If they stand still to long they will start sinking toward the center of the earth... and there are monsters out there.
