The author of this book was very detailed on the matter of how different kinds of meats are processed for our enjoyment. He stated many times in this book that its more important to be vegan than anything else just because of the economic impact your eating habits have on our country and others. This fact is true just because it does add more stress to many farmers who must provide the food just to raise cattle alone.

Although I can see the other side to those that might read this book and balk at the idea of changing their eating habits just because it might help or reduce the stress on providing different types of meats. These readers of course fail to see anything else but their own needs as well and not the benefits it would have on the whole system.

Another interesting point to this book is that the author does talk about how many fisheries will not allow anyone into their plants. They are heavily guarded and even with many requests, there was no chance of getting in.

The author though does make a good point about improving ones eating habits based on reducing the economics stress of maintaining the system, even if you do not cut out meat from your diet completely, its important to reduce the amount you eat. He offers many vegan options just for the sake of how easy they are to put together rigth away. The overall benefit is huge and great for everyone.

This is a very good book for anyone looking to become vegan or understand more about where the food you eat comes from and what happens in the process.
