This wasn't a travesty along the lines of Dan Brown's "The Lost Symbol." But it wasn't good either. The main characters were both supposedly smart professionals, yet they had to act like morons at regular intervals to keep the plot going. The author also repeats himself, referring at two separate instances to two different characters' actions stemming from their "reptilian brains." And at the end of the book, the author mixes up the names of the two young boy characters--admittedly, they lacked any distinguishing features in their personalities, but I would hope the author could differentiate between them.
