I loved Warren's music - enough so that I actually lasted to the end of this tortured accounting of his life. A truly loathsome father and despicable husband, Warren's tale is important only in that it underscores everything you feared a life of addiction would lead to. A difficult book to read on every level.
The most poignant line comes from his son Jordan: "No one with a decent circle of friends could have gotten away with what my dad got away with". Nothing more need be said.
