My Thoughts: I didn't know what to think as I started Touch Of Frost. At first, I felt like I was thrust into a world I knew nothing about. I don't know much about Gods or Warriors. I only know basic stuff that I have overheard over the years. There are many God's throughout this novel including bad guys as well, such as Reapers.

We are introduced to Gwen Frost who goes to Mythos Academy. She's a new student and just started there. She lived with her grandmother after her mother died. Her mother worked with the police. Gwen is a teenager who pretty much keeps to herself. She's not popular. She's quiet, many people think of her as a nobody (how rude!). Mythos Academy is a school for descendants of Gods and Goddesses, meaning everyone there has some special gift.

Gwen doesn't believe she fits in with all these warriors. They all have a reason to be there. She's only a gypsy, whats so special about that? So what if she can touch things and see their history, yippee. A lot of good that is really going to do for her.

Gwen witnesses the murder of a mean girl named Jasmine and starts looking into why she was killed. She spies on the mean girls friends, her boyfriend, and even breaks into a room and steals a laptop.

There are also other characters throughout the book. Carson who happens to be a somewhat friend to Gwen. They aren't close or anything. Just around each other. Than there is Daphne who is popular and was Jasmine's friend. She and Daphne don't get along at first but they start to grow on each other. Than there is Logan Quinn. Logan is everything your mom told you to stay away from. He's a bad boy who can get any and every girl he wants. Indeed he does that, signing their mattresses afterward (made me smile a little bit to read that line in the novel). He's good looking, funny, and has nice abs in Gwen's mind. Logan and Gwen don't really know each other at first but they seem to always run into each other (literally).

I also liked learning more about the Gods and their stories. I liked learning about the teachers and their secrets. I also liked learning that maybe Gwen was more than just a gypsy! Want to know what? Read the book now!

Overall: I really did enjoy Touch of Frost. At first, I had a bit of a hard time getting into it. It didn't hook me right away but by the middle I wanted to know why a girl was murdered and what would happen between Logan and Gwen. I also read a few pages of the next novel and I want that one now even more! New guy in the story who seems very mysterious!

Cover: I've seen a few different versions of the cover. I really like this one (with the girl). In my mind, she looks like the girl in the book and I love the picture in the lower right hand corner too.

What I'd Give It: 4/5 Cupcakes
