** spoiler alert ** Overall, a nice, fluffy read. But, the characters are flat and the plot is predictable. At first, I hated the characters: the beyond-bratty teens; the distant, awful husband; and the weak, woman who has little to no control over her life and simply lets everyone walk all over her while she makes a cookies... The Amish characters are also flat; they are social superheroes to be admired and have no faults. This flatness of characters can be comforting though - a quick read that you never really have to think about.
