really liked it

This was just...charming. Very spontaneous. It explores the deliciously ridiculous details of a dozen different small-town hobbyists. My favorite quote:

"And the plane burst into flames on the runway," Della mumbled under her breath. It was something she always recited at takeoff and landing...Sometimes she would only say part of the sentence: "...into flames..." or even just "And the plane..." But this time she felt need of the whole thing, and even said it a second time, out loud, looking her seatmate square in the eyes.

Just a taste.
