It is difficult to rate this book. On one hand I really liked the idea of having some Romans investigate the mystery about the body of the crucified prophet, but on the other hand it failed to be as captivating as I had hoped. I can't, however, quite put my finger on what the problem is. The ending seems a bit rushed, with no real closure on Alban's plight. I know this is the first book of a serie, but still I felt that that part should have been more resolved for this book to be able to stand on its own.
