I won this in a Goodread first reads drawing.

I really wanted to love this book, after all I got it for free!

This book is a very interesting story. Most of the population is dead within a 10 minute time frame. The story begins as a few of the survivors watch the people around them begin coughing , their throats swell and the suffocate. A little over 20 find each other and then comes the plot twist. The decomposing bodies begin to rise. Within a short period of time the begin to hear and then see. The hunt down sound and become aggressive.

Three survivors break from the group, Michael, Emma and Carl. The story follows them and their struggle for survival. Emotional issues are touched on, having lost all their loved ones, home and possessions.

The premise is good. I struggled with the language. To me, there are other, better words, that can be used, rather than the abundant use of the "f" word. I understand that in stressful situations that we, as humans, are not at our best, but this was overkill.
