Quite powerful and surely unforgettable, Scars is a story full of abuse, horror, hope, and healing. Kendra, just 15, has seen horrors that most kids have not. She was sexually abused since just a toddler, and yet she cannot see her abuser's face. His mind games and brainwashing have left her with frightening nightmares, images of stalking, and painful snippets of horrific scenes... her only way to cope is through cutting.

When Kendra starts to see glimpses of the sexual abuse, her wise and caring therapist, Carolyn nudges memories into the forefront. Kendra realizes her abuser has taught her to cut to stop from telling. When the abuser is finally revealed, we are numb, in shock, and haunted...just as Kendra was. You won't be able to put this one down.
