or Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone where im from, i never did understand why americas version was sorcerers stone because a philosopher and a sorcerer are two completly different thing :S but moving on, this book is a brilliant start to a briallant series. The books are about a young boy named harry, whos life sucks - his parents are dead and he is living with an aunt and uncle who treat him like crap. But that all changes when myterious events start occur, followed by a giant named hagrid who gives him the news that he is a wizard. Fantastic book, one of my all time favourites, also one of the only books that the movie did justice too :P
