** spoiler alert ** Despite having a mercenary international assassin as a key character, this was a sweet story. The girl gets the guy in the end, and the bad guys get what they deserve. As a White House Chef Mystery series, it immerses you in and informs you about cooking and entertaining at our nation's first house. I love the idea that the First Lady gets to try things out before approving the menu (I'm envious you say?) Olivia is a very apealing character and it's gratifying to see her career success. I understand the White House recently got their first female executive chef.
