This was a really fantastic look at a muslim lebanese Australian and how she struggles to be true to herself but also wants to avoid being stereotyped by her friends at school. I really enjoyed how the author made Jamilah realize that she needed to be true to herself without making it ridiculous and pedantic. Really really well done and another great narrative voice. Recommended to teens, especially those who don't have a lot of knowledge about Muslims.
