I have read so many quotes of this book that I was very eager to read it and it didn't disappoint me. I could relate to Esther, I could understand her loneliness, her frustration with life, the hopelessness with her future and her emotional and mental breakdown.... we all feel that sometimes. The writing flew but sometimes felt stagnant.
Since it was semi autobiographical, I could also understand the meaning behind some of those poems of her I love. But despite all thing, I felt she was little arrogant and superfluous, thinking she was better than every women she met, the writers who were helping her.
All in all I enjoyed it and maybe read it again years and years from now.
