¬¬Epic
Epic, well to my surprise the title did actually fit how I would describe the book. The story of epic was simply amazing telling the life of a young boy named Eric, uncovering the secrets of a corrupt system based off of a video game called Epic.

The first page of the book was rather interesting to say the least because of the events that were happening. What the reader doesn’t know is that the book starts straight off with you inside of the game Epic. You will be immediately drawn into the book “Eric wasn’t trying to think of the terrible gamble taken by his mum.” So of course you would continue to read thinking of the gamble that has been take.

In the book you will read about the faulty government uses this game to control the way the people live. Something detrimental happened on Earth that caused the creation of this game and the way this system of government works. There is no violence in this society because of what happened on earth (No I won’t spoil it).

Besides the interesting storyline there was superb writing by the writer to describe epic battle scenes in the book. I could almost feel myself sitting in the middle watching it all as a spectator. “B.E. had caught medusa on the wrist of her groping hand with Lightning, severing it from her arm. With a terrible shriek, she reared up, ichor pouring from the wound, filling the air with steam, and burning them all as acid drops sprayed amongst them.”
This book will keep you yearning for more. The author is great and I can’t wait to put my hands on his new book Saga. This is a great book to read and I highly recommend Epic to any science fiction reader.
