Trevor received a lot of acclaim for this short story collection, but I didn't particularly enjoy it. He's a strong writer, but his stories have a sense of confused omniscience - the reader is given the perspective of all of the major characters, and the switches back and forth can sometimes be disorienting. My favorite piece was "Bravado," and I would have liked the story better if it had stayed in the ending perspective for the entire piece. Perhaps it's just a matter of taste.
