it was amazing

I won't post much review here since I'm facilitating a book discussion group on the Stieg Larsson trilogy. What is most fascinating to me is thinking about why these books have found so much popularity. Of course there is better literature out there, but there is something in these stories that people find exceptionally compelling, and many people who aren't big readers have torn through all three books at a furious clip. These books have that magic combination of interesting characters who develop over the course of the series, a setting just foreign enough to be intriguing to Americans, and a plot that teeters on the outer limits of believability. These books are a great read for the noir crime fiction fans, and those interested in journalistic dramas and international espionage will find plenty to chew on here as well.
