I really enjoyed some of Loe's previous books, e.g. "Naiv: Super" and "Doppler", but this is really my least favourite.

While bordering on the insane with repetitive remarks, especially regarding water, Loe triggers an aspergeroid-ish manic feel throughout the book which centers on a young adult male trying to write a pamphlet about Finland, designed to lure Norwegians there.

Very few full stops are used, and I mean that lingually. About the plot and the story-line, it very much is Loe, but lacks a sane rhythm and literally drove me to sleep a few times.

Skip this and make "Naiv: Super" or "Doppler" your first reads if you're delving into his books, which are often superb.
