i heart isa...she does it again in this amazing chock-full cookbook.
i started cooking vegan b/c my son has a dairy allergy (and we don't eat much meat anyhow). started w/ the cupcake book & VWAV and my husband gave this one to me for Christmas.
isa just never strikes out. the cholent was great. the yuca/sweet potato/black bean tortillas were great. the potato-kale enchiladas? yep, great. we weren't huge fans of the lentil-cauliflower curry or french lentil soup w/ tarragon and thyme, but everything else we've tried (sesame-bok choy? black bean burgers?) has been AWESOME.
if you think veganism means brown rice and flavorless tofu, think again. these meals are worlds better than most any meat-containing meal I've ever fixed at home.
