** spoiler alert ** Another great book by David Michaels..This is a spinoff of the series for xbox 360 and ps3m which is called "Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter". As i have mentioned before in the review of the splinter cell conviction book by him tooo, the big threat with writting a book based on a video game is that you have to make a completely new storyline. You cantt follow the storyline of the video game itself because the people who havbe played the game will become uninterested. aside from that, my uncle gave this to me over the summer and i read and enjoyed it..The book starts of strong with a mission in either vietnam on one of the koreas, where scott mitchell is with his spec op/black op team. one of his teamates gets pulled up into this trap and is pulled ny a rope into a tree with spikes......you know what happens to the guy from there. anyway this spec ops squad is working in sync with a vietnam/taiwanesse spec ops squad..in that squad theres a man call tai zan(something like that), anyway as this prologue progresses the u.s. spec ops team comes under major fire from the enemy..they call on the taiwanesse to assist them but tai zan(the leader) doesnt. luckily scott mitchell makes it out but his team has suffered heavy losses. later on the general of the taiwanesse spec ops. comes and dismisses tai zan..because tai zan didnt help mitchell and his team, mitchell has a very strong hate for tai zan which comes to a head later in the story. overall the book has a strong begginning which gets you interested very quickly.. and im not suprised at all considering its coming from david michales who knows how to write video game based books really well. i would recommend this book tothe war novel fans, and fans of the video game series.
