Still 3 stars (OK, if there's a half star, I'd give that as well) for this 4th book in the "Underland Chronicles".

Just when you've thought Gregor has run out of prophecies to fulfill in the Underland this time around, think again. There's still another one in this book, only that it was concealed and would not have been revealed had it not been for Gregor's now-3 year old sister, Boots, who turned the prophecy into a toddler's song.

More and more creatures (and their "second"names) from the Underland are introduced in this second-to-the-last book in the series. This time around, it's the plight of the mice, or the nibblers, that takes centerstage. And thanks to the mice, I was reminded once again of my elementary geometry ~ I just remembered what an "isosceles" triangle means. Hehehe.

The book's still action-packed, dripping with sarcastic but realistic lines from its characters (especially Ripred), and emotionally-charged as well. Imaginations will go on overdrive with this book, and much as I would like to skip the last book in favor of another with a different genre ~ just to "cleanse the palate" as some would put it ~ my curiosity would just not allow me. Especially with Suzanne Collins' cliffhanger ending. Again.
