At first this book was a bit annoying because it kept talking about apples. Yes, you heard me right, apples! Eventually it started getting better and better, by the end of the book it became one of the good Poirot books I have read.

So the story is about a murdered girl in a Halloween Party. We are taken on a journey with the little Belgian man on his investigation of this crime. As the story progress, it becomes more complex when the readers find out other murders/disappearances could be tied to the case.

As usual the main character is this book is Poirot and added to it is his friend, Ariande Oliver, a famous murder mystery novelist. This is actually the second book of Christie that I have read that included her and I have to admit, she is a bit annoying and this made me kinda dislike the book a bit. The plot, however, made up for my lack of love for the particular character.

My one problem with this book was that it was a bit predictable, and I had an inkling who the murderer was, just not how he did. I still recommend it though, especially to the Poirot/Christie fans!
