it was amazing

Second time through this (what, why) & it is still so good.

Still a total dude book, though. Like, blah blah old news, but guess what! It gets really lonely when the important lady characters (I'm thinking mostly J. van D. & Avril. Am I missing anybody major?) are just soooo extremely hot, like no seriously, hottest ever, horrifyingly beautiful, so crazy but so so beautiful. Please leave me some space in your world, ok?

Also, Don Gately. I kept feeling suspicious of how much I love that guy. He is not real! He is a made up guy! And it seems like maybe DFW is weirdly invested in making DG like, the patron saint of Good Guys or something. Biggest, shiniest heart of gold. Am I missing the point?

Five stars, still, because this is the best, still.
