I don't know why I wanted to read this, but somehow I wound up at the B&N checkout with it in my stack. I guess the main word I'd use to describe it is interesting. As a democrat, I respect Meghan's ability to comment on her own father's run for presidency without much bias. She analyzes the republic party with both an insider's perspective and yet, she also notes how alienated her "modern" views make her in the eyes of other republicans. It's a shame there are so many others with her same opinions that are also being overlooked because they aren't conservative enough for the party. The main downfall in the past election was this polarizing of the party and the inability of to make the more radical youth feel included. While she is a bit repetitive in saying this, it's still nice to know that there are republicans who support gay rights and can't identify with the uber-right-wing. Hopefully the more modern members will get a voice thanks to this book.
