I was looking for noir-ish crime and I'm tired of re-reading my Patricia Cornwells, but this still wasn't quite it. OK book, super-dated (1985 = glittery sweatbands and no answering machines), mystery was fine but unravelled a little suddenly. I liked the first book in the Alex Delaware series when I was in my teens but suspect that unless Kellerman really improved down the line this will probably be the last one I read.
