I have always been fan of Lynsay Sands The Argeneau series, I have been following this series since I discovered this author and that has been while ago. I do not know what it is about these books but I always get excited about reading them. I mean I have my favourites and then I have my not so favourites, but that is how it goes with all series.

This was the 12th book in The Argeneau series and 3rd book in the Rogue series. This story was about Nicholas Argeneau, who is believed to a Rogue and he believes it himself as well. But he does not behave like any Rogue that I have encountered so far in these series. His female interest is Josephine Willan, who is actually Sam’s (she is Mortimer’s life mate) sister. I liked Jo, she is such a delightful and refreshing character, she is funny, honest, does not believe everything people tell her, and spunky. She is the first one to believe, actually she never believed, that Nicholas was Rogue.
I liked Nicholas’s character as well, he was very interesting character and I wanted to learn more about his history. The author only gives you the basics, to keep the story flowing. I felt so sad for him, about how he lost his first life mate and what his life was since. I was rooting for him throughout the whole book even thought I new the outcome.

Interaction between Nicholas and Jo was very interesting, even though their romantic relationship developed very quickly, I mean at the very beginning of the book. However, this fast romantic relationship development works in this book, I think it fit’s the story line very well. The story line was good, even though it was very predictable. I do wish that the resolution of Nicholas’s rogue statues was bit more exciting, bit more dramatic, in a way it was anticlimactic.

Overall I really did enjoy reading this book and I am already looking forward to the next book in the series. I give this book 4 STARS out of 5 STARS.
