farcical noir? some good violence and sex here, and fairly knowledgeable about kb and the life of 4:20ers and mormons. i guess this is entertaining and well written but not my style. if i want sardonic and "funny" with my noir i will stick with Robert Lewis, Daniel Chavarria, and Patrick Hamilton.

Mark Don't know why you thought the book was noir. I don't write noir, I write comedies.

Tuck hahaha mark, i guess what struck me as noir ish was the murder of the emt with her strap on. sure it was funny, but also dark? and Cho the cop, man he seemed straight our of a bogart movie, in a good way. he reminded me of the cop from "black minutes" by solares. Lots of burdens, but still a public servant. now i cannot remember (hahahahA) who recommended your books to me, but i really liked "baked" and look forward to checking out "moist" etc..:)

Mark There are noirish touches, for sure, although the character of Shamus Noriega was based on a real guy who murdered 8 people one summer in my neighborhood. That was "living noir". Thanks for reminding me that I have that Solares book in my pile. I need to read it.
