AWESOME BOOK...anyone who has read The Cost of Discipleship, Life Together, or Letters and Papers From Prison should read this biography about the man who wrote those books and endeavored to live them.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer is probably one of my favorite historical figures because of the stand that he took on various issues in the times he lived in. He opposed racism on both sides of the Atlantic, strove for a living faith that was neither legalistic nor licentious, but obedient to God's call, and he was willing to make difficult decisions to share in the sufferings of others. This book shows all of these things in wonderful detail, and I am glad to have this book as part of my personal library.
