The more I read Douglas Coupland, the more I love him. One could learn to write if one studied him. He weaves tales like no other modern author. His characters are real, flawed, and so human. The story of a single woman who rediscovers the child she gave up for adoption when she was 16 is a real love story. This is a must own book!

Emily Likewise, what Coupland do you recommend I start with? (... as though that would happen any time soon, but still)

Jerjonji I'm just discovering Coupland. Eleanor Rigby is a great read. You can start with it. I'm beginning to suspect that they are all great reads, though. I have two more on order at the library.
