Read from September 20 to 23, 2010

I received a free copy of The Fall as a First Reads winner. It had been a while since I had read The Strain, but The Fall, the second book in the Strain trilogy, brought it all back.

If you are looking for some romantic boy vampire meets girl mortal book, this is not for you. This group of vampires inhabiting the earth is definitely not a group where you want to develop any type of relationship.

The seven Ancients have existed a long time, maintaining a low profile, with the mortal population unaware of their existence until the youngest among them goes rogue. His mission is to take over the world placing the vampires at the top of the food chain with man now offering the beverage of choice.

The world is in chaos, there is fighting in the streets, and humans are afraid to venture into the night. An old man teams up with several others in combating the rogue and fighting for man's survival.

Great book! Good characters, especially the old man, Setrakian, and scary enough to send you looking for the silver.
