Angels Fall

Not even a guilty pleasure! Ugh. This book delivers just what it promises, though: a simple story that makes you want to smack the main character for her ineptitude. It's been ages since I've attempted a Nora Roberts book and now I remember why.
I just can't get passed the fact that A. I would be ashamed to be caught holding one of her books where someone I know could see me and B. They remind me way too much of the bodice rippers that we passed around in 6th grade with dog ears highlighting the sex scenes.
And at this moment I would like to thank Nora for not using the words throbbing member, even though I know, secretly that they were part of the initial manuscript.
This would be a great book to read on a beach or by a pool when you're seriously distracted by the view or from the umbrella drinks you've been imbibing in. I wouldn't expect anything more than just a simple, mildly entertaining story.
I wouldn't completely write off (pun intended) all of Ms. Robert's books, but I would never attempt to read one outside of an airport or an all-inclusive resort.
