Very slow internal monologue of a Bosnian dervish in various stages of crisis. A few choice passages regarding Bosnian identity (Selimovic renounced his heritage and later identified as a Serb), especially on page 409. If someone can point me in the direction of a copy of the film adaptation with English subtitles I'd appreciate it. This novel can be tiring but it's well worth persevering.
