"Damn it" I said "I don't suppose you have any ideas on how to kill Littleton" He smiled at me, his teeth very white in the darkness of his face "Eat him" he said."
To me this is Urban Fantasy at it’s best. Clever writing, action packed plot, great characters, witty dialogue and subtle romance, Blood Bound has it all. This series is quickly becoming a favourite of mine.
In this second instalment Mercy’s vampire friend Stefan asked her for a favour. She is to be a witness in her coyote form while he delivers a message to a fellow vampire. But things turn out to be a dangerous bloodbath as the vampire has a demon possessing his soul. The vampires and the werewolves tell Mercy to stay out of it. But when the ones she cares about are in danger Mercy isn’t the kind of girl to sit on the sidelines and wait.
How can you not love Mercy? In this instalment she is the same kick ass character but I think we get to see a little more heart especially in the romance department. Of course the romance is moving along at a snail pace but it works well as they have great chemistry ensuring sparks are flying whenever Mercy is alone with either Adam or Samuel. The love triangle doesn‘t bother me like it does in some other books. I think because you can see why Mercy is confused. I so hope Mercy chooses Adam though ~crosses fingers and toes~.
Overall, this is a series you shouldn’t miss!

Thanks Tina. I haven't read a lot of UF either but this series has made me curious to try more UF. Although I don't what yet. I think you would like especially Adam (yummy).
My sister gave me Ilona Andrews books Magic Bites to borrow, so I might have to read those soon. She loves this series as well though. Gah, so many books:)
Ohhh, the Kate Daniels books by Andrews are absolutely great! I like them even better than the Mercy books.
I agree wit Janina and Tina's sister: the “Kate Daniels” series is great, I especially like the post-apocalyptic atmosphere these books have. A small warning: I thought the first book “Magic Strikes” is the weakest in the series, so don't give up just because the beginning is a bit confusing.
Thanks. I'll put that on my to buy next list. I have heard that about the first one and also that the 2nd was just okay.Janina, how are you liking Bitten?
Hmm ... I'm still undecided. So far it's kind of easy to put away, I'm not that eager to read on. The love interest seems a bit weird in my opinion ... and very possessive. Not necessarily my 'type' ;).
Nic. I loved loved loved these books, too!! I haven't read the fifth book yet, because there's no way in hell I'm paying $25 for the hardback when I can just wait for the paperback. Surprisingly enough, I'm not like, itching for the next one.. but I haven't read the Mercy series since January. Maybe time has healed the wound of the hardback conversion :)
Jen, you can already buy Silver Borne as paperback, if you do not mind that it is the UK edition of book.http://www.bookdepository.com/book/97...

Present books aside...UF has always been hard for me to pick up for some reason but you make it sound so easy to love;)
