I liked the first and quickly read through the second. It is fun to see the development of the relationship between the mid-wife heroine from a well to do family and the Irish cop. This book details the murder of a number of young women who go out, have fun and receive presents from not so great men. The events take place in dance halls and down in Coney Island. I'm looking forward to reading the 3rd book in the series.
