Talk about having your cake and eating it, too. Shannon Hale gives the reality without messing with the fantasy. I laughed, I cried (had to go to my room to blow my nose and sob), I giggled, and felt butterflies.

I'm at the perfect time in my life to relate to this book. I am not quite Becky, but I know a lot of women just like her in my ward. They love their husbands, they hold motherhood in high regard, and cry when they hear their children sing "I Am a Child of God." I'm different because my sons take care of the garbage cans, not my husband. Still, I can relate to Becky and her home life.
